The reading
Vadodara hosts the first women's ODI between India and Zimbabwe, starting at 2:00 PM IST. It is the opening game of the series, and the second ODI follows on 25 October.
Friday 23 October reads as a Mercury and Venus day. The date 23 adds up to 5, the number of Mercury, the planet of quick thinking and communication. Friday belongs to Venus, called Shukra, the planet of harmony and comfort. Mercury and Venus are traditionally on friendly terms, so this is one of the calmer pairings on the cosmic calendar.
CrikTrik's reading gives India Women both the toss and the match. The toss is read from the two captains' full names, and the result from the team names in full and short form, each scored against Mercury and Venus. India Women's names scored higher on both.
A home side being named on both calls will not surprise many people, and the reading does not pretend to know anything about the Vadodara pitch, the squads or recent form. It is an astro-numerology read, shared as entertainment for fans of the women's game. Zimbabwe Women have every chance to prove the stars wrong, and if they do, the miss goes on the track record just as visibly as a hit would.
